Hu Xianglong

Dr. Xianglong Hu is a specially appointed research fellow and doctoral supervisor of the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, USTC, and the PI in the innovative biomedicine and materials group. In 2014, he received a doctoral degree (supervised by Prof. Shiyong Liu) from USTC, followed by postdoctoral research (supervised by Academician Benzhong Tang) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology thanks to the Hong Kong Scholar Program from 2017-2019. He joined USTC in March 2022. So far, he has published more than 40 papers in J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Biomaterials, Research, etc. as first/corresponding author, some of which have been reviewed in Nature's weekly SciBX column, reported in JACS Highlighted Papers column, and selected as Research Journal 2020 Best Paper Award. He has also been invited to write Concept papers for Chemistry-A European Journal, etc. The total number of citations of SCI papers is over 4,600 and the H-index is 36. He is a reviewer of Nat. Chem., Nat. Commun., Adv. Mater., ACS Nano, Adv. Funct. Mater. and other journals, a young member of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, a member of the Standing Committee of the Molecular Imaging Branch of Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Association, and a member of the Pharmaceutical Chirality Special Committee of Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association, etc. He has chaired several projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and participated in a national key research and development project as a backbone. He, as the main inventor, has been granted nine Chinese invention patents.
